Public Address System Standard No. 160

Every business is required by the Israel Police standard to install a public address system in order to be able to transmit immediate messages and/or emergency notifications to the building’s employees or customers inside it.
The type of public address system, and its specifications, depend on the size of the building and the type of business.
The location of a public address system in large buildings is critical, as security forces also connect to it to transmit messages in the event of an emergency. The system should be designed with a qualified professional.

Standard 1220/11

This standard focuses on the maintenance and periodic testing of fire detection systems.
According to the fire department’s instructions, these systems (detectors, hubs and related equipment) must be regularly maintained through periodic inspections. This maintenance will be performed by a certified maintainer who has received a permit from the Standards Institute to perform maintenance tests of fire detection systems.

Standard 129/1

This standard establishes rules for the routine inspection and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers (hereinafter: fire extinguishers) at their location. The standard also establishes requirements for refilling the fire extinguishers.
This standard details the inspection processes that are required to be carried out by the monthly fire extinguisher inspector, the annual fire extinguisher inspector
and the fire extinguisher maintainers.

Standard 1220/3

“Standard 1220/3” (or Israeli Standard 1220 Part 3) is a standard of the Standards Institute of Israel that focuses on the general installation instructions and requirements for manual and automatic fire detection systems. It forms an essential basis for obtaining regulatory approvals such as Form 4 and business licensing, and ensures that the systems provide early warning of a fire and allow for effective evacuation of the building.

Sprinkler System Maintenance Standard 1928

Standard 1928 refers to water fire extinguishing systems and determines their integrity, how to act when a fire breaks out and during it. The standard determines the tests that need to be performed and how often they should be performed. This is done in order to maintain the integrity of the systems.
